A on grid/grid tied photo-voltaic power plant will reduce the electricity bill as it possible to sell surplus electricity produced to the electricity distribution company. Grid connected PV systems are comparatively cheaper and easier to install as they do not require Battery Bank.

Operation Sequence of Solar on grid Inverter:

Priority (Solar - Grid):

*When Solar energy is sufficient then output load will operate through MPPT & Inverter. Excess solar power will be fed to the grid (Govt. electric company) by bidirectional electricity meter.

*When Sun Radiations is low then load will be operated by Grid.

A Hybeid SPV Plant consists of a ghbrid Inverter, SPV Modules & Storage batteries.

Operation sequence of Solar Hybrid Plant:

* When solar energy is sufficient the o/p load will operat on solar through MPPT & Inverter and that time batteries will be charged by Solar energy. Excess Solar Power will be fed to the Electricity Grid.

* When Solar Energy is not sufficient then the output load will be operated via Solar Cells & Battery Bank. When batteries charge comes down to 75% then the load will be operated through electricity from the Grid automatically without any change or hassle.

PCU or Power Conditioning Unit is an integrated unit consists of grid charger, inverter, Solar Charger based on MPPT technology. It also continuously monitors Battery and Solar voltage as well as Grid and Output voltage with their currents. MPPT based solar charger extracts the maximum power from the solar panels whereby it increases the efficiency of the system. MPPT technology maintains the batter charging voltage such that it increases the life span of battery.

A Solar PV water pumping system commonly known as a Solar Pump draws power from Solar Panels to operate a motor pump set.

The Solar pv modules are mounted on a metal frame in a manner that the mounting frame can be turned to ensure that the modules keep facing the sun throughout the day. The system does not have any storage battery since power generated is used directly then and there. The SPV array converts the Solar energy into DC and then the converter converts this DC into usable AC which is used for running the motor pump set. The pumping system can draw water from the open well/bore well or stream/pond or canal. In this system water can be pumped even in morning,evening and also in cloudy weather at low speed. This system can operate water pump mono block or submersible. SPV pumps require only one time investment with no recuring cost and have a long life.
